EVERYONE. MUST. PLAY. THIS. GAME.

yes, it's THAT good... no, it's even better.

i mean, you can THROW people (and besides being hilarious, that REALLY adds to the strategy elements...)

I bought this game about two weeks ago.  I like it a lot more then many of resent rpg's that have come out.  It has three things I always like in a game.

1.  Being able to make a ton of differnt chariters to play human and monsters.

2.  A real high level cap.  I forget what it is but I read somewhere where a person was refuring to his 1600th level person.

3.  A game that is like final fantasy tatics.  I always enjoy these types of games.  You have to actualy think about your battles opose to the clicking attack for everyone in your group for every battle that isn't a boss battle.

There are many neat things about this game.  Go look up a review on it and see if its something you would like to get.

Cough, [I don't own a ps2]

For that matter of fact, [I don't own a ps1 either]

the level cap is 9999. Stats literally get into the millions... none of this "255" crap from Final Fantasy X. How the hell am I dealing 99999 damage with only 255 strength? Haha.

It just so happens 255 is the largest number that nicely fits into one byte.  Who really cares if 255 strenght is your max.. or 1 million.  Does it really matter?  In Final Fantasy 1 strength point makes a difference with 255 being max.  1 point makes no difference anymore with 1 million as the max.

Hah! I remember one person on GameFAQs complaining about Paper Mario's low-value HP/FP system ("Why should I fear a boss that has 30 HP and causes 4 HP damage with each attack?", or something similar. For those who haven't played through, and would like a comparisson, Mario has a capacity of 50 HP and 50 FP (flower points, his MP), and Bowser in his final form has 99 HP, can heal 30 HP 3 times, and his strongest attack does 12 damage (well, he has one stronger, but you'd have to be stupid/not paying attention to the text to get hit by it). Still it's a decently challenging fight that'll last you maybe 10-20 minutes (assuming you didn't bring the items to restore full HP/FP, like I did. Then it'd be easier).

Nightcrawler

Exactly King Mike! That's a god example of my point.  For some reason people have a fixation on seeing large numbers.  But it makes no difference.  I don't get it.
