Solid Runner. ;D As most of you know, Gideon Zhi has it under his translation list and I was able to beat it before he did XD.  I do admit though, it was a very nice game.

Post one only and give reason

Princess

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.  First game I beat on my own.  :)

Jay_Dragon

Dragon warrior 1 for the nes with a bambo pole.  I think I had read something in a nintendo power a little after it first came out about trying to beat it with a bambo pole so I went thought the whole game and beat it with one.  The end guy took over 40 mins to beat with one if I remember right.

and wen i finish i beat the crap out of it in real life (tru story i hit it with my souvenir bat from yankee stadium)

Ps: i hated so much the never ending puzzels and dungeons just one after another for me they seem endlessly....and there was this one puzzel it was ppropably made to be solve by god himself it took me about a hole day to solve that S...
I will walk...with my hands bound
I will walk...with my face blood
I will walk...with my shadow flag
Into your garden, garden of stone...

I share those thoughts exactly! I finished that game out of sheer hate with the slight curisoty of finishing out the story.
Unfortunately, I was playing on an emulator and could not destroy my computer :)

KingMike: 7th Saga was indeed a tool of evil.  Took me a long time to beat that.  I have never touched that cartridge since then.  I beat it with lux and lejes I think.  I got the the last world and there I sat for about a year or so since I was so damn underpowered to ever have a chance of beating the game by then.  Reminds me of Dragon Warrior II a little bit.

Lunar 2 PSX! I fought that damn final boss for over an HOUR before I finally killed it. Yeesh. And then I didn't even go through the epilogue :/

Got a feeling that Rudra's gonna be the same way. Looks eeeeevil...

You didn't have that much trouble with Dual Orb 2, but you had trouble with Lunar 2? Ok.. that's just wierd.  The final boss in Lunar 2PSX went down fairly easy for me.  I lost to him only once.  The second time I beat him, and I think it was in no more than a half hour.  Dual Orb 2 was much harder for me.

(just a joke) but even with the fast foward key it took a lot

Umm the game I am most proud of would probably be... Final Fantasy I for the NES. There was SO MUCH LEVEL BUILDING ARGGHHH (note: not quite as much as Dragon Warrior I, but, I never beat that on my own).

I beat FF1 once on an emu, then started again playing it on cart. I think I'd rather play games on consoles, because my butt hurts sitting up in front of the computer for so long. :-[
Haven't finished FF3j. Nice game, but I go tired of the seemingly endless level-building I'll need to finish the final dungeon. Now I lost my save, and I don't quite know if I want to repeat the level-building requirements of the game.
DW1 for NES had lots of level-building, but thankfully the SFC and GBC remakes boosted the enemies' EXP and GOLD values, cutting down the tedium.

Hiro

Yeah, thank God someone fixed that... I should play the game again with *decent* values for exp and gold (like the first Phantasy Star...)

DW1-
Hero: Haha! Die, monster! It took me days to finally kill that werewolf skeleton octopus monster, but I'm sure it was worth it!
Game: You have earned 10 exp and 5 gold. You have 10,263 exp to level 4, and 15,373 gold to earn a leather shield.
Hero: @#$@!$@$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

Ninja Ryukenden (Gaiden). Entire game start to end. Only time I was ever hit was when the demon's head comes off (to my knowledge, unavoidable).

I actually have a video of me doing this if anyone's interested :)

What format is the video in?

DivX 5.0. Quality isn't the best since it was made from my video in. But it's quite watchable. My audio capture wasn't working so the BGM is just a mix of some arranged ninja gaiden music and assorted Ninja songs. :)
