This is a somewhat random topic but at least it's a topic, right?

I was just wondering if you guys thought there could be a little more respect around. I don't mean like in face to face dealings necessarily but more the consideration of faceless others. It's just little things but they piss me off.

Take last week, for example. Our bin was on the verge to be emptied and some prick moved it during the night. Consequence : bin not emptied until the next week, where there is more garbage. Like I said, it's little but it's annoying.

Also, when I was down at the cricket nets the other day, someone had blocked up the drinking fountain with a stick or some such. No cool water for hot me or anyone else. That kind of stuff is just stupid. Some moron probably thought that was hilarious. Again small but again brainless.

Yeah, I guess this is kind of a rant. Sorry. I just want to find who did that stuff and smack them one.

There could certainly be a little more respect around everywhere. However, playing devil's advocate, many times actions deemed as 'disrespectful' by some were done unknowingly by the other party.  Perhaps the guy was being an inconsiderate prick. But, perhaps he didn't think it would be a big deal to move it because he didn't know what the consequences would be or that anyone would be upset.

Damn, I don't think he had those links there when I responded. If he did, I totally missed them.  :-[

Wasn't.
Must be the kind of bot that posts, then later edits in spam links if they haven't been banned. I've heard of those.

I'm thinking there was a human element somewhere along the way. I haven't had any spam on this board in a few years since I last modified the registration processing code. This forum is in Perl, so I'm not eager to do it again as the syntax typically confuses me. However, if we continue to get accounts like this, there's no other choice.

Spam reaches every little corner of the Internet. The fight is never ending. *sigh*

You know, to have so much of it, it must be a lucrative business. When you can't beat them, join them? I would normally refrain from illegal activity, but really how many spammers actually get caught? Law enforcement and law makers could care less.
