Does anybody know where can I can find the soundtrack of the very FIRST Dual Orb game?  (I Already got the Dual Orb II Soundtrack)

Nightcrawler

I don't believe anybody has made an SPC(or other format) soundtrack rip for that game yet.

Can you or a friend you try to play through the game and rip all of the tunes used? Brcause I do know you have the Dual Orb ROM that you used for your Text compression test.

only one problem! I CANT READ JAPANESE! this game is untranslated! I can ONLY play the game IF it is translated!

Why? I've played plenty of games without knowing any Japanese. Although, it makes menus easier to navigate if you pick up some basic kana, but that's not a requirement. If you get stuck, there is a walk through, but generally the game was pretty straight forward from what I played.

Besides, I don't have the game in English either. None of the work I did on the game involves a translated script.

We are on equal playing grounds as far as ability to play through Dual Orb.

well, RPG games that are in Japanese such as Dual Orb are hard to understand which is the EQUIP command, ATTACK command MAGIC command, and many of the monster and Item names, and even the game's dialog because you don't know what to do, or where to go next. That is why I  CANNOT play games in Japanese language. I only play them to see what the battle system looks like. (Dual Orb's battle system is an First Person view, like Dragon Quest)

megatron07

Has ANYONE ever tryed to pick up the Dual Orb I project?

megatron07

You don't understand! The Japanese writing charcaters, (Hiragana, Kanji, Romanji) is just a bunch of gobbledygook! They're just squiggles and lines!

Tintenfisch

why are you posting three times in under 6 minutes with posts that have absolutly nothing to do with eachother?

if you want to have this project done there are ways other than posting non stop about the game.

1: become a hacker, start a team and hack the dialogue and all the other things in.

2: appeal to a group about the project saying why they should.  and no saying "because it's dual orb 1" does not counts.

3: wish as hard as you can.

I told you there is a walk through for the game. As for the menus. Just take a few minutes and figure them out. Lots of people play Japanese games without knowing Japanese. If you can't.. well that's tough for you because other people CAN with the same experience as you.

I've heard enough.

OK I hope it works. Thanks.

I played through it a little bit , just to get to the first boss and I've got to tell you I've spotted a MAJOR difference between Dual Orb II and Dual Orb I : The music.

When you fight a boss in Dual Orb I, there's boss battle music.

Whereas when you fight a boss in Dual Orb II, There's NO boss battle music.

If you play through it a little bit, you might find some differences.

Tintenfisch

That's not really impressive.  No game and it's sequal are alike.  Any decent ones anyway.

Hmm. I did not know that. I thought things would be different in Dual orb I. I do know that it takes 1000 years before Dual Orb 2. That's why the story does not tie in with the second Dual orb game.

I just wish they remade the two Dual orb games on the GBA (Game Boy Advance, Micro, SP), but no one has ever heard of this game in Japan for a very long time ever since the first game came out in April of 1993.

Here are the reasons why I think they NEVER remade Dual Orb I & II:

1. I'MAX, (The original company who did the game), went out of business.

2. Couldn't find a company who will continue the Dual Orb series

3.  Dual Orb is an unknown RPG game series

That's all I have to tell you for now.
