QuoteCongratulations for wasting 6 months of your life.
What did you do that was better?

KaioShin

Nothing I suppose. I just have a extremely strong dislike of open admiration of alcohol. If he had said he spent the last 6 month with counting the clouds flying by his windows I would have said nothing. Call it a mental illness of mine to hate drinkers :P (especially considering sometimes 99% of the world seems to be consisting of alcoholics >_<)
I usually get along with them fine but this time, argh, it slipped my tongue  ::)
Damn, now I have to do something world revolutionizing next year so I can look into a mirror again :-X

99% of the world is alcoholics?

Wow, you must have THE MOST jacked definition of alcoholic in the world. Exactly how can 99% of the world be alcoholics? I'm sure at least 20% of the world doesn't even have stores selling alcohol (let alone stores selling anything else), and probably most of that group lacks access to a still to even make it.

<Kaioshin> Do you drink regularly?
<Person A> Not really.
<Kaioshin> Well then, do you drink too much when you do drink?
<Person A> To be honest, I don't drink at all.
<Kaioshin> Have you ever smelled alcohol?
<Person A> No
<Kaioshin> Have you ever been in the same room as someone who was drinking?
<Person A> No
<Kaioshin> Have you ever used rubbing alcohol to clean anything?
<Person A> No, I usually used hydrogen peroxide
<Kaioshin> Hrm ... have you ever seen a bottle of alcohol before?
<Person A> Of course, tey have them behind the counter at the drug store.
<Kaioshin> AH HA! I KNEW YOU WERE AN ALCOHOLIC!!!!!!!

Very nice  ;D

I said seem. That is around me of course, but when you are the only person who is not drunk in a hall with 200 persons who all are, in THAT moment I have that feeling and don't give a thought about the world outside that hall.
Okay, I overexaggerated a bit, lets say... 98,9%? ;)

DraconicBlessing

I wouldn't say it was a waste. I missed less lectures due to alcohol than most of my friends did due to sheer laziness (I think it was 2, in total), and I passed the year with moderately good marks, (B+/B average).

Hey KaioShin, you should have a drink some time, might mellow you out! :P
The Past never was.
The Future never will be.
There is only Now.

If I ever come over to New Zealand, I'll get back to it  ;)

Quotehow is it that 8 lbs. of potatos costs $0.20 US in China and $12.00 US in the USA?

A kilogram of red delicious apples is $2.10 US here, where it would be $3 - $4 US in the states.

Your prices for food in the USA are dead wrong.  Just looking in the local grocery ads you can find many prices such as $.19-.50 per LB for apples, and $1-2 per 10 LBs of potatoes.  You can find even lower during sales or if you buy in bulk.  Granted those are not as low as Chinese prices, but considering the average GPD in the USA is $42,000 and $6,300 in China, I don't see anything to go crazy over.
