Since the 10 question thing came up, I've been inspired to find out what your last name means.  If you just want to tell what it means and not what it is that's fine.  I'm not going to look up 200 languages just to find out your last name.

Mine last name means-  Caraway seed,  It's an anciet condement from Holland and Egypt.  A spice.

Silva. It means nothing. NOTHING! *runs away and cries in a corner*

Actually, the word sounds the same as a conjugated form of the Spanish verb "silbar" which means "to whistle". Whenever someone calls me by my last name, I always whistle back. :P

Draken

Anderson.

A friend of mine who was this big Matrix geek told me that it means "the son of man."  I would figure that it means "the son of Anders."  Who knows... maybe anders is greek or something for man.  If you couple that with my first name, then my full name is "God's gracious gift, the son of man."  Kind of a strange connection.

Must mean something. I mean, Silva Saga! :D

*wait, don't I run the evil cult in BoF2? You're gone!*  :D
Might be interesting to look up, if there is a real meaning to my name.

Tintenfisch

Well my name in full is kinda funny.

Joseph from what I've learned means "god will increase" and since my last name means Caraway seed.

God will increase caraway seeds.  Huzzah!

As for the last anem Silva.  your mission now is to use it in as many puns as you can.

"If you can't handle the gold, then you can't handle  The Silva" and when they mention that gold has more worth.  you hit them in the face.  Totally surprises them.  Much like Rock, Paper sucker punch.

I have no idea what my last names means and quite frankly, I don't care. ;)

It's my last name.. It has long since lost whatever original meaning it intended.  Tt's only job is to help identify me in the world. Anybody know how last names came about anyway?

Anders actualy means strong, so the translation son of a man for anderson would not be correct at all.

I have two, one means north and the other is an old swedish military name.

Draken

Actually we're both right.  I did a little bit of research  ;D

It turns it the name Anderson really means the 'son of Andrew,' and Andrew can be translated as man, manly, warrior, strong, etc.

Cool stuff.... Too bad that is has little baring on my day-today life :(

I think I can beat anyone on here for weirdest last name.  Mine's Zecckine (pronounced zah-keen-ee).  It's Italian, and I have no freaking idea what it means.  :-/
All your cliche are belong to us.

Gideon Zhi

Mine, apparently, means dogwood. Weird.

My last name is that of a well-known seaside town in England that I've never been to.

Depended on what your trade/job was at the time, that's as far as I know.
