It must be nice for you guys how have mass transit available to you.  Most place here in the U.S., you can't get to work without a car.  I'd save myself alot of money if I didn't need a car.

I live in NJ and we have more mass transit than most other states, but the problem is the entire system is designed for New York City.  If you're not going to and from NYC, your options are very limited.

Well, it depends on where you live. The subway goes to stockholm, and out on the other side, while the busses goes about everywhere. Busses have the distinct disadvantage of takeing more time. Its not cheep thought to go by buss/subway anywhere....

Yes, and  Frank Herbert's son announced that he will publish the final 2 books in 2006-07, which were left since Herbert's death in 1986! The end of the 6th book, was such a huge cliffhanger

I really hope that he managed to do it alright. Althought House Atreides, House harrkonen and house corrino were good, the buttlerian jihad & The machine crusade were not so good... i bought the battle of corrin before the summer, and i have not managed to find the motivation to read it yet... (not with books like the nights dawn trilogy and such standing next to it...)
