Wow, there have been like... no posts lately :(

And do you know what? One of the main reasons I don't post more often is the speed of the board... I'm just wondering how much of a factor that is for other people. Even on ethernet it is way slow for me, and that makes it feel like a chore to post anything...

I don't know if there is anything you can do about it, NC... and I am not asking you to do anything, in fact. But I had to bring it up because, well, we need a topic :P

I'm back on dial up so every page has a slow load time.

I am using Mozilla now instead of Internet Explorer.  It tends to load pages faster.

This board isn't the fastest but I don' t think it is the main reason that many people aren't posting.

Speed isn't an issue for me, despite that I think I'm on a slower high speed connection right now (how ironic, slower high speed connection).  Well, the main reason I'm not posting that much is that first, I ran out of ideas, and second, I need others to post before me so I can start posting replies.  Well, if there's one or two new people who comes in here and post some stuff that would be good to get the board back to life.

The speed is fine with Mozilla and DSL here.  I don't have any problems.  It's not the fastest board I've ever seen, but it loads.

And remember, this page only has 64Kbps bandwith I think.  If I wanted more, I'd have to move the board and the site, which I don't think is really necessary.

I told you people, I could ban avatars and that would help speed it up.  I could also elimate most of the board graphics, and do text only.  There's lots of things I could do for speed improvment, but I don't because it would reduce the quality of the board.

Yeah, it is best to keep the quality up, for totally.
