I remember this being announced 3 years ago but I recently saw an article on RPG Fan that says Hudson confirmed that they are still planning on releasing this in the US.  I think this would be the first time the series has come to the U.S.  I would really like to see this but I'm skeptical.  But who knows, I never thought Glory of Heracles was coming for the DS either.

Nice to here from Victor Ireland again. Working Designs certainly was infamous for both good and bad, but the guy gets some credit from me because WD was a big part of history and improving the translations/localizations of the times and evolving the typical translation product into the next era.

As for FEoE. I'm happy to see we might get it. Still it bothers me when companies start bringing long running series over way late in the game. It's great that we get it, but on the other hand, they just skip over all that came before it. I guess I'd like to see them start from the beginning if they decide to bring a new series over. FEoEZ and Heracles included. How many resources could it really take for them to slap together a compilation disc with the previous games and a translation? It would be fraction of the cost of localizing today's new games.

I on my wish list of things that will never happen, I've always secretly hoped they'd just start hiring some fan translators to do the minor work on these old classics to do it even cheaper than they could themselves. Anything to ensure that we would get something rather than nothing...

Translating Heracles would mean having to translate Heracles 1. :P
Bought a cart for completion sake (though I'd still need the GB game), but I don't think I'm looking forward to playing.

Breakable equipment = :P

I suppose they could release some of the Heracles games on the Wii Virtual Console if they really wanted too.  I'm not even sure how many FEoE games there are.  Wasnt one being translated for the GBA on Kaoshin's sight?  Or was that not part of the real series?

It would be interesting to see the translation for FEoE if Vic Ireland has a hand in the localization which might be true by reading the article above.  I heard that game has a lot of material pertinent to Japanese culture.

Anyway, wish the new game will bring the FEoEZ series to the US.

Looks like RPGFan talked to Hudson again and the game is not coming out here  :'(

Will anyone care to translate a Far East of Eden game?

Nightcrawler

I will for Far East of Eden Zero assuming byuu and Tomato don't get significantly far by the time I want to start. The race of the extremely slow guys. :)
