Well, since nobody really mentioned this one when it came out last week, I figured I'd post a link.

L.S.F. English Project

The game came out back in 2001 and is a high-color remake of the old, famous Chinese DOS game. TechMaster can probably tell you more about the old DOS one.

As I'm sure you can tell, it's an RPG.

Sorry about my copyright watermark, but all graphics I capture myself and host on my page have it. So ... deal.

That looks nice.  There are so many more console like PC RPG's games in other countries.  Here, we are plauged with Diablo clones that are called RPGs.

I don't have net access at home at the moment or I'd give it a try.

Hey D, Is there a good site that has news and information on these types of games or translations? They are completely overlooked by any of sites I know of.  I have had a growing interest in Korean and Chinese games such as this or Heroine Anthem etc..  Keep in mind, I can't read a lick of either. ;)

None at all. Nobody cares about games from anywhere but Japan.

What's the latest on the2d.com? Is it just plain dead now and never coming back? I liked the vision you had for that site.  It's shame it didn't take off as well as you'd hoped.

There is the need for a site that does recognize some of the Chinese and Korean games as well as 2d games in general.

QuoteSo, the http://www.theseconddimension.com isn't a contination of the2d?
Not at all.

That's a site started by Stovetop and a few of Stove's friends. They actually started it some few months after the2d.com started. Stove tried to talk to me about combining sites but I really didn't want to. When the2d.com died, I handed over all the reviews and news articles to him so at least theyw ould be available somewhere on the web.

From the looks of things, his crew STILL hasn't gotten them online ...

I didn't want to work with him because his site is also for stuff like cartoons and comic books, which I really don't have any interest in.

I think the dos version of this game was the first rpg (in my memory, unless you count WonderBoy series as rpgs) that I played.  The remake does look a lot better, also there's more facial expression than the old dos game.

I haven't seen this remake yet in the pc game stores or bookstores (quite a lot of bookstores also sells games).  I think I'll look for it espeically in my next few tries.  It'll be another month or so before I'm heading back to Canada.
