I recently beat Legacy of Kain: Defiance...since I liked the rest of the series this was just more of the good stuff, and almost all of the story's loose ends are tied up, which made it and Soul Reaver, the most interesting parts of the story.

Plus, Raziel's voice just sounds cool.

I beat Tales of Destiny.  It was an alright game.  I enjoyed Tales of Phantasia more.
I look forward to playing the sequel.

TechMaster

Well, if you really want to play the sequel play Tales of Destiny 2 on PS2.  Tales of Eternia (Tales of Detiny II in the US) isn't the real sequel to ToD.  It's just another branch in the Tales series.

Current Tales Branch: ToP, ToD, and ToE branch.

ToP: ToP SFC, PSX, GBA; ToP: ND, ToW: SL, ToS

ToD: ToD, ToD2 (PS2)

ToE: ToE/ToDII

Joint: ToF, ToW: ND2

I might have forgotten a few (which I always do), but that's an approx of what the three branches are like.

Princess

Thanks for the info. :)
I haven't decided what I will play next yet.

Azazel

I beat these ones in the past month.

Starbreaker
Magicial Chase
Coryoon
Red Alert

Gideon Zhi

Since I last posted here, I've beaten Kingdom Hearts and Onimusha. I unlocked everything in the latter as well -- including the Bishamon Sword and Kaede's extra costume.

Nightcrawler

I've beaten nothing and in fact have only had time for 4 hours of play time in Legend of Dragoon so far.  How do you people find so much time to play all these games?

Finished Valkyrie Profile and Shadow Hearts last week.
VP was very good, but the ending (the standard one) sucked. Perhaps I missed something, but I don't see how anyone would possibly know how to get the good ending without having first consulted an FAQ. I dislike the trend of "rewarding" the player with a crappy ending, and having to go through some obscure process just to get a better one (Chrono Cross, Valkyrie Profile, Shadow Hearts). Actually, I did get the good ending for Shadow Hearts, but that was only cause I was bored with the battle system and used an FAQ so I could blaze through the game.
Next, I'm going to try and complete Dark Chronicle (Dark Cloud 2 in Europe), but the game is soooooo long. I can tolerate randomly generated dungeons, just as long as the scenery changes fairly often. It's a shame, as the other gameplay elements are great, I can't see anything seriously wrong with it other than the dungeons.

Nightcrawler

I agree about the ending thing.. I have had this discussion many times about multiple ending crap for RPG's.  Multiple endings should  not even be CONSIDERED if the main ending isn't the best ending.

I totally agree that you should not have to consult an FAQ in order to get rewarding ending or play through the game 3 times over.  I'd rather have one GOOD ending rather than 25 worthless ones.

Alternate endings are a joke in my opinion.  Look at Chrono Cross  for example.. you can't even call some of the endings endings, they're short, tell you absolutely nothing and are worthless.

I don't think I've played through a game yet with multiple endings that had a good rewarding main ending.  It seems everytime a developer trys multiple endings, they detract from the quality of the game.

Great Red Spirit

I'm with ya about the main bad ending... if it wasn't for my wandering eyes when I was in one of the FAQs, I would have never gotten the 'A' ending

Which I just got last night :)
I don't see why so many people complain about Bloodbane (the big scary dragon) though... Gravity Blessing is a pain, but it's nothing that I haven't seen before from other bosses, and I killed him before 10 rounds passed
Fenrir and the last boss were even easier though, without any one-hit kill weapons too. Dark Lord (erm, the boss) of the teleportation-labrynth was the hardest boss I fought in the game, excluding Seraphic Gate of course :)
If you don't know what this is, you don't know how screwed you are

TechMaster

About Bloodbane, I guess he didn't heal himself when he fought you did he?  I was like **** when I fought him and he healed like half of his health right back.  I forgot the healing value, but it was something along the lines of 100,000+. (probably the largest healing value in video game history...maybe not, but that's pretty darn high...)

I passed Suikoden 2.

I've also got a perfect example of the multiple ending thing rogering me. (You probably don't want to read this if you haven't passed Suikoden 2). You need all 108 SoDs before Kiba leaves for the mercenary fort but I got them after that but before going into Rockaxe. No super fun happy ending for me, until I pass it again.

Great Red Spirit

100k+? Ouch, no wonder everyone hates him...
I went at him with two grams for Valkyrie (level 40) and Arngrim (level 30) and Great Spear Dinosaur with Lawfer (lvl 30 too) and Mystic Cross and Unicorn's Horn for Shiho (lvl 30). Lawfer, when I wasn't recovering from Gravity Blessing, was always pulling off his PWS. I love Justice Stream :)

As for Suikoden, I started 3 and 1, but not 2 yet. I do have a disk image of it laying around. I'll start it when I beat Suikoden 1, but I'm not very far in it. My troop is just the bunch of servants from the beginning of the game :P
If you don't know what this is, you don't know how screwed you are

honookatana

Well, that is the best way to do it (Suikoden 1 and 2). If you have save data from the last point in Suikoden 1, a good thing will happen in 2.
