Games you beat recently

I know you're all probably going to laugh but I just recently passed Reel Fishing 2 on the PSX.

Someone had to do it.. why not let it be me...

Seriously though.. I've never played that game, but i did a see a fishing game in the arcade where you actually had a peice of a fishing reel for the controller. Do you fish in real life? or just like playing the games?

I only got the normal controller but I'd be interested to see what the rod is like. Yeah, I fish in real life when I get the chance. Not as often as I would like. I'm not into most fishing games because they're all about bass. Other fish are not counted, even the bigger ones.

Also, you can add Sword of the Samurai to the list, for some really old skool gaming. In case you haven't guessed yet, I like games with samurai in.

I rented Suikoden out but I won't be able to pass that in time. It's a great game though.

Yeah, I want to see a game where you go fishing for Sunny's or Perch or Goldfish! Or maybe to the other extreme of catching sharks and octopus or whales!

I don't like it all being about bass either.  I don't like fishing as a sport.  I view fishing as more of a recreational relaxing activity.

Well, the biggest fish in Reel Fishing 2 are marlin and Coelacanth. It has 18 different stages, all with different fish, so there's a lot of variety there. Plus there's a freaky extra level called Panda Lake where you catch drowned pandas and the like.

Do you fish often?

Ok.. that extra stage makes the game ok in my book.  Who wouldn't want to fish for drowned panda's!?

I used to fish a good amount, but I haven't fished in several years now.

Well, I beat Valkyrie Profile last week (B Ending)
I was horribly dissapointed. Not at the ending, but at the difficulty at the last dungeon. I skipped half the game (did Chapters 1-4, skipped chapters 5-8 since my original game got lost and I had to resume from a seperate save at the end of chapter 4) and using a team of Valkyrie (lvl 22), Arngrim (14) Lawfer (15) and Shiho (13), I beat the last dungeon and Surt (a few levels later, maybe 6 for everyone)

I also did in Gabriel Celestae and Iseria Queen, although I save-stated every round against IQ and reloaded when she killed my party (when guts didn't activate for anyone). I got IQ down to about 1/3 HP before she did me in and I reloaded the lsat round

Try the A ending.  I heard Surt was **** aka weak.  In the A ending, you'll fight 2 sub bosses (the dragon whatever which I forgot the name of, and fenrir).  Fenrir, if you have the right sword, is a one hit kill.  That dragon on the other hand, is a pain in the ***.  Why?  He can freaking heal himself for like XXXXX or if my memory is wrong XXXXXX amount of HP.  Basically, if he uses that, you're screwed.  Well, you seem to like to save state (XD) so it may or may not be a problem.  Try not save state during a boss battle and see the results.

Actually, I only used savestates against the Isaria Queen, after I first fought her and lost about 1/3 into the battle. I wanted to see what would happen when I beat her, so I just fought her again with savestates. Last time I used savestates, it screwed up the game and I couldn't save (memory card wise) or recuit about 80% of the characters in the game, so I restarted

I was on my way to the A ending, but right after the cutscene that shows that you've pretty well unlocked it, I lost my memory card save. I'll restart VP again, since I'm planning on getting a modchipped PS1 (emulators can never capture the same feeling of playing a game as the console does, even if the game isn't authentic :\) and get the A ending there.

Lol, I need to go play some small game for a while...I guess rpg and is a tad bit too much for me right now. (need to build up some more patience...)

You should try Slime Morimori Dragon Quest. It's kinda short.
Beating the game (without doing any of the extras) took me about seven hours. I went back to do a bunch of the extras - not quite done yet, I've done the three 10-Gold dungeons and I've gotten maybe 11 of the town upgrades - and I've logged about 9 hours so far.

I recently beat Zone of the Enders. Decent game.
Dunno quite what's next. Clock Tower 3, or maybe Ico.

Are you talking about the AGB ZoE or the PS2 version? I've only played the AGB version and it's quite good.
