Games you beat recently

This is a bit different from the other topic.  Any game can come here.

Mine would be Valkyrie Profile.  Beat it yesturday like 11 pm.  It was quite funny to see guts and auto item kicking in when my party should be annihilated.  Plus seeing the final boss getting kicked by a 50000 dmg hit (not attack, one single hit, most games only goes up to 9999dmg in one hit).

Sadly, I have not beaten any games in several months.  In fact, I've only beaten one game this entire year.

I beat Wild Arms 2 back in Feb/March I think.. I can't even remember now.  I don't have time to play many games anymore since I graduated and joined the 'working world'.

Banana Prince and Paaman 2 for NES, which I released the translations of.
And The Real Ghostbusters for GB (nice action/puzzle game, fairly dull ending though, the Ghostbusters music made its presence known, which is nice, but thankfully wasn't used every stage. I started a comparison page between this and its Garfield and Mickey Mouse varients during a short boredom streak).

Most recently ummmm I THINK it was Metroid Prime. Damn fine game... it almost deserves an entire genre of its own. On another note, I REALLY WANT VALKYRIE PROFILE :(

I just beat Popful Mail for Sega CD.  Wooohooo!   ;D
Cool game but awful tough.  Definitely has some humor which is a nice touch.
It's a short game.   Anyone played it?

Now I'm back to working on Alundra.  :)

TechMaster

Beat Baldr Bullet seven times in like two days (I think you guys can guess how short this game is eh?).  However, the bonus stages are quite tough.  I could only get to the 65th level right now (the highest lv ever attained by human in this world is either a 400+ lv or a 800+ lv but since I don't understand Japanese it is quite hard for me to determine which one is correct, but either way whoever made that record was crazy to do so and extremely good at games).

Princess

I just beat Alundra!
Took me awhile but I did it.  I thought about cheating to beat the last boss, but with a little hard work and determination I was able to win on my own.    ;D

Oh wow... I have not beaten that game yet. I think I just beat that dungeon with the lizards after you get the bow, or the dream with the ice and several different towers (where you have to slide the pillars), I forget which one comes later.

I think the last game I actually played all the way through and beat was probably Parasite Eve in, like, July. Great game, crappy sequel (I HATE that Resident Evil style control setup).

Heh, talking about Resident Evil.  Played a bit into Resident Evil **** whatever its called on GCN like several weeks ago on the streets of my university (not joking, it was part of orientation week).  Gosh.  Whoever designed the controls need to get shot.

I agree with you, 100%...

As for recently beaten games, I beat Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon 2 a month ago, and Metal Gear Solid 2 three days ago (I finally played it, after it's been out for how long?)

Gideon Zhi

Metroid Fusion! The Gameboy Player kicks ass, k.
Aria of Sorrow is next on the list, followed by Demikids Light (even though the translation makes Square's job of FF2/4 (SNES) look accurate by comparison... :-/)

I just beat Chrono Cross.  My second game this year.  I beat Wild Arms 2 in Feb and just finished Chrono Cross.  A measely 2 games a year.  That's about all the free time I get.  The working world sucks.

Wild Arms 2 was pretty good.  I think I liked the first one a bit better though.

Chrono Cross sucked.  I really did not like that game with it's rediculous growth and percentage 3 strength attack battle system, lots of characters with 0 character development and a story with no closure full of lose ends.  Not to mention the ending sucked.  If you're going to make a game with multiple endings, at least make the first main ending good.  Oh.. I got a bit of text that told me some junk that didn't even make sense. The credits were actually more enjoyable than th ending.   I've seen better NES endings than that.

Chrono Trigger was a much better game.  Chrono Cross is unworthy to be a sequel.  I was also a big fan of Radical Dreamers.  That game/interactive story was great.  I can't believe Chrono Cross was based on that because it sucked.

Congratulations!  :)

I don't think I will bother with Chrono Cross.  It doesn't sound like much fun.

Great Red Spirit

*CC Spoilers!*

Hmm, I enjoyed it. Most of it at least.
95% of the characters in it are useless though, there's always better characters waiting to join up. After I got Glenn and Draggy, my party never changed until I had to put someone in or when I became Lynx and lost Glenn, but I replaced him with Karsh until I changed back to Serge.
As for the plot, it sounded like it was going somewhere, but the end was just screwed up. I haven't gotten the good ending yet, so that might clear some things up.
But yeah, CT > CC :P

I know you're all probably going to laugh but I just recently passed Reel Fishing 2 on the PSX. I can't help it, I love that game. I passed Zone of Enders (AGB) a while back. Also, the main campaign for Shogun Total War : Mongol Invasion. It was a little easy. Any of you guys play that or Battle Realms? I don't pass all that many games but I start a heap.
