Well, that puzzle to get the Lumina is quite annoying to do over and over. I'm pretty sure you have to jump to avoid the spiked ball and steam of the boss, but that's where I am.
Right now, though, I'm trying to play Xenosaga. So far so good (inside the Gnosis that ate a planet), but do the movies each need to be about 3 hours long?  :P

Great Red Spirit

You can't jump over the steam around the boss' legs; you have to wait for him to attack to hit the legs when there isn't any steam
His last phase (when he's jumping everywhere) I found to be the hardest. He would jump in a place where I couldn't hit his core and when he did jump into an ideal place, I usually wasn't there to nail him ;)
He does take a lot of practice, he's the boss I spent the most time on in the game (with those bloody vambees in a close second)

On topic, I put Suikoden and BoF on pause for Lunar 1, which I bought recently, and I'm also in the Epilogue in Lunar 2 (god, I HATE the last boss! Incredible pain in the...)
If you don't know what this is, you don't know how screwed you are

Nightcrawler

That's where I always die.  When he gets to his third form and I hit him one or two times, he turns the screen and almost sucks my character right underneath him.  I just can't figure out how to avoid some of his jumps.

I also think the game is retarded in the fact that it doesn't let you save.  I don't even want to play anymore because i have to beat all those other levels all over again.

You can save, you just need to beat the first boss first...   ;D

Nightcrawler, you can always play that one game using the psx emulator and use the save state feature so you don't have to replay all the levels again in this situation.  I'm not saying play every single game on the emulator, just games that is so annoying to play using the regular save feature.

Nightcrawler

That's true.. I didn't really think about that.  I also have a Dex drive, so I could transfer the save from after the boss from the emulator to my memory card and continue from there.  Then I can cheat my way to victory if I have to! hehe

I probably won't try playing for awhile now.  I don't have any motivation to play through the first few levels all over again.
