Ok I just want to ask you all what your views on drugs are... Do you drink? Smoke? Toke? I mean, what have you done, what would you consider doing, what do you think about people who use?

For me, I think drugs are the proverbial double-edged sword. They can be awesome, they can make you feel better, they can make a party more fun... But my friend Sarah put it really well when she said of pot and alcohol: "They can make your night a lot more fun, but if you can't have fun without them, then that's a problem."

Also there are a lot of drugs that are way more hardcore than pot and alcohol. Like psychadelics, for example... I am of the mind that if you know what you are getting into, have good reasons for it, and accept the consequences, then they are not always a bad thing. Drugs can open up your mind and free up pathways that  you wouldn't have seen without them... A lot of times it seems like they break down the barrier between the subconscious and the conscious. But of course, there are horrid consequences for some drugs, and things like heroin or meth are not worth any part of whatever redeeming effects they might have....

I dunno, I'm super-liberal and open-minded when it comes to drugs. erowid.org is a great site that I read a lot from, and it makes you think.

So, what DO you think?

I think drugs are big load of crap.  If you can't deal with life without drugs, you're a pussy.  I could care less what people do to themselves, the problem comes when they do on to others.

People who drink, do heroine, methane, butane, octane, whatever the hell shit people do these days, end up killing or harming others.

Even people on pot with their 'trips' do rediculous things and annoy and get in the way of normal healthy people.

People who smoke cause asthmatic people like me to breathe in their shit in restaurants even in the non smoking section.  It should be illegal to smoke indoors.  They harm the health of other people.

Because people doing drugs infringe on the well being of other people and or can lead to the death of ANOTHER person, drugs are shit and anyone doing them and harming others should burn in hell.

If people want to do drugs, they should be forced to be locked in a room by themselves where they can't harm anyone.  Then they can OD till they die for all I care.

Agreed (with Nightcrawler).  Btw, I think in Canada you can't smoke in restaurants.  Well, I guess US have different law depending on the states you are in.

Yes.. and my point was it doesn't matter as smoke travels outside the bounds of the smoking section.

Good Point.  I agree.  Smoking sections don't stop other people in the room from inhaling the fumes.  Having people smoke outside would be better.
I can't stand the smell myself.
Thankfully more places are becoming smoke free.

Yeah, I only smoke cigarettes when I'm drinking, so usually at bars. And if you are in a bar and are complaining about the cigarette smoke... well why are you in a bar in the first place?

Sometimes I do smoke right outside of either my apartment building or the building I work at, though. Not often, but every once in a while. I don't have a habit though - I've bought cigarettes maybe three times in my life. It's just a social thing, I guess.

'A social thing'? That's a lame excuse.  Peer Pressure submitting follower, get a set of balls!

It is pretty tough question.. I have been smoking for years but taking drugs is not good at all. It is illegal too..
